At Scotland First Aid Training, part of Safe Haven Training Ltd, we provide high quality, accredited, and reliable first aid training for workplaces, schools, childcare providers, community groups, and individuals across Scotland.
Our mission is simple: To give every learner the skills, confidence, and practical ability to respond effectively in an emergency.
Originally founded in 2012 as Staffordshire First Aid Training, our organisation has grown to become a trusted training provider across the UK. Building on our strong reputation for practical, hands on training, we now deliver fully accredited courses throughout Scotland, supporting employers and communities in every major city and region.
From Glasgow to Aberdeen, Edinburgh to Inverness, we’re committed to making first aid accessible, engaging, and genuinely life saving.
Expert First Aid Trainers with Real World Experience
Our courses are delivered by NHS professionals, ex-firefighters, and emergency responders, trainers who bring genuine, real world experience to every session. With engaging, hands on teaching, they make first aid simple to understand, practical to apply, and easy to remember.
Scotland First Aid Training offers a full range of accredited first aid courses across Scotland, including 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work, 3 Day First Aid at Work, 2 Day First Aid at Work Requalification, Blended Paediatric First Aid (meeting Ofsted/Education Scotland standards), and Mental Health First Aid. All courses are fully certified and comply with Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations, as well as Ofsted and EYFS requirements.
Our courses are accredited and recognised by leading bodies, including the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB), Qualsafe Awards (Ofqual regulated), the UK Register of Learning Providers, and the Learner Records Service.

Our Journey
Our founder, Ian Bryan, spent over 30 years working as an NHS Paramedic and with the County Air Ambulance before creating Scotland First AId Training part of Safe Haven Training. His extensive experience in emergency care inspired him to bring lifesaving knowledge into the training room, ensuring more people are prepared to act when every second counts.
2010 Humble Beginnings
We began in 2010 as Staffordshire First Aid Training, founded by Ian as a family-run business dedicated to making first aid practical, affordable, and accessible to everyone.
2015 First Major Milestone
In 2015, we secured our first nationwide contract with Pirelli Tyres - a breakthrough that proved the strength of our training and opened doors to working with large organisations across the UK.
2018 Rebrand & Expansion
As demand grew, we rebranded as Safe Haven Training Ltd, reflecting our wider national presence. We expanded our courses, built a team of NHS professionals and emergency responders, and began working with schools, councils, and businesses across England.
2020 Resilience in a Pandemic
The COVID-19 pandemic challenged us to adapt quickly. With PPE, social distancing, and CPR modifications in place, we continued delivering safe, high-quality training. During this time, we secured a £250,000 contract with Dudley Council and partnered with NHS Mid Cheshire Hospital, proving our resilience even in uncertain times.
2024 Nationwide Growth
By 2024, Safe Haven Training was delivering accredited First Aid and Health & Safety training nationwide - from Cheshire to Cornwall, and Liverpool to London - supporting both small teams and national organisations.
2025 The Journey Ahead
Today, Scotland First Aid Training proudly operates as part of Safe Haven Training, continuing the mission to deliver expert-led, accredited First Aid and Mental Health training. Whether for local nurseries, schools, councils, or national corporations, our focus remains the same: giving people the knowledge, confidence, and skills to save lives.
